I had SO much fun with this! Most of what I used came from my December Gossamer Blue kit with bits and pieces from my stash. The layout took a bit longer to finish than I was hoping for but I'm sure it'll speed up as I get more comfortable with Project Life. Thank you for stopping by!

Project life week 1
A week and a half into the new year and I have my first week of project life done! That's a good sign right? I'm going to do my best to keep up with it. Especially since my usual 12x12 scrapbooking has taken such a back seat in life. :(

One little word
About a week ago I was looking around the internet for project life examples when I stumble across Ali Edwards blog. I ended up finding a post on her One little word project. I debated the whole week about whether I should take her workshop or just try to focus on a word myself. In the end I decided that the workshop was well worth it to help keep my word at the fore front of my mind.
So the word I chose for this year is, Breathe. I thought of quite a few other words before landing on this one, patience, calm, relax, to me breathe seemed to encompass them all. Life has been stressful the last few months and I don't see it slowing down anytime soon. I want to remind myself when feeling stressed to stop and breathe. Also with baby number two on the way in April I want to slow down and appreciate the time I have left with Brianna as an only child. I want to breathe in life and stop rushing on to the next goal.
The workshop includes a prompt each month whether it be journaling, photo or scrap related to help bring your word into your life. The first prompt is to set intentions for yourself for each month of the year. Something to do with your word. I'm in the processes of writing out my intentions and doing the small scrappy part of this months prompt. Hopefully I will be able to share soon!

Project Life
The last few months I've been looking into Project Life. The more I read about it the more excited I got to try it. So for Christmas I asked for Becky Higgins page protectors to help get me started. I plan to use paper I have on hand, god knows I have enough of it! Here is my title page.
While looking at examples online I saw lots of pages with big photos split between multiple pockets. I loved the look and knew I had to use it! (Even if it did split my face in half!) I used scraps from my November Gossamer Blue kit. I'm looking forward to all the changes that 2013 is going to bring to our family, transitioning out of the army, moving across the country, and welcoming our new little girl! I hope project life with help me document all the little things that happen along the way.

Now that the holidays are over
Hope everyone had a great Christmas! Ours was wonderful! Brianna is at such a fun age and really enjoyed all the magic of the season.
Now that things are slowing down I've actually had a minute to get into my craft room. (After cleaning the HUGE mess from present making!) I'm embarrassed to say I'm still working with my November Gossamer Blue kit. Although I'm in love with the kit so I can't say I'm too sad about that!
For this layout I worked from a sketch from Scrapbooksteals.com. The layout came together really easy and it feels so great to create for myself again!
Hopefully I can continue to get crafty time in and start using up these beautiful kits. That shouldn't be to hard while six months pregnant, packing a house and moving across the country right? Yikes!

Scrappy time
I actually found some time over the weekend to do some crafting that wasn't for a Christmas present! Seems like every year I'm scrambling to finish crafty gifts and it really cuts into my scrappy time! :) I finally broke into my November Gossamer Blue kit. I love this kit and I'm really hoping to find more time to work with it. Especially since my December kit is already here and patiently waiting for some attention!
I'm glad I took the time to document something so cute that Brianna says. It makes me smile every time. Also relieved that I haven't forgotten how to scrap! Thank you for stopping by!

Hey I'm back!
So after finding out in July that I am expecting baby number two, my energy both creative and other wise took a huge dip! Finally half way through my pregnancy I have found the energy and time to get back in my craft room! Here are a few cards I made this weekend.
The first is for my nephews 12th birthday and the second is for my great aunt who just moved over the weekend. I've just started exploring my prismacolor color pencils and love the look they give! Hopefully the cards bring a smile to my family's faces and hopefully I can keep up with some crafting now!

Mid week mojo Pearl #4
Hey I almost got one done on time! My friend Jen McDermott was last week guest sketcher on scrapbooksteals.com. Her sketches were so amazing! I can't wait to find time to do the second one. Here is the one I decided to do,
Here is my layout,
I had such big plans for this layout but I'm not really sure how I feel about it. I'm trying to start using stamps in my layouts but I don't know if I pulled it off. I am glad I finally tried it hopefully I get more comfortable with it soon. Thank you for stopping by!
